Coaching Session Baseline/Pretest Predictive Assessments August 25 – September 2, 2010
Purpose • To learn how to prepare student answer sheets that are not pre-coded • To become aware of what are considered “Errors” for predictive assessments
Preparing Non Pre-Coded Answer Sheets • Enter Last Name and First Name • Bubble Last Name and First Name • Bubble blanks between Last Name and First Name
Preparing Non Pre-Coded Answer Sheets • Locate correct NC WISE number for student • Enter correct NC WISE number as the identification number • NC WISE number will be 9 digits so you will never enter a number in column J
Preparing Non Pre-Coded Answer Sheets • Enter “leading zeros” at the beginning of each NC WISE number so that the number will total 9 digits • Bubble NC WISE number
What is an Error? • Wrong header on answer sheets • Last name and/or first name not bubbled • No NC WISE number on answer sheet • NC WISE number not bubbled correctly • Wrong NC WISE number
Sample answer sheets… • Look at the 6 sample answer sheets • Identify an error on five answer sheets • Locate the “error free” answer sheet
Correct Answer Sheet • Last name (entered and bubbled) • First name (entered and bubbled) • NC WISE number entered correctly • NC WISE number is always 9 digits • It will begin with leading zeros • Enter enough leading zeros so the number is 9 digits total • Column J will never be bubbled
