  2. Daily File • Open up your Daily File and create an entry with today’s date, Thur, 5/2. • For the next FIVE minutes, write about a time when you were given good advice, but chose to ignore it. If you can’t think of anything personally, think about what you’ve read in books or seen on TV or in a movie.

  3. The Flight of Icarus • Follow along with the myth on page 676. The narrator will read for us today. • Keep your iPad close by, but FACE DOWN while we read. I will pause periodically to have you add some predictions to your file.

  4. Cause for Pause • Pause #1 • Make a prediction about what you think Daedalus will do with the feathers • Pause #2 • Why do Daedalus’s eyes fill with tears? • Now that you’ve finished reading: • Write down 3 important events that JUST happened. • What is the moral/message/theme of the myth?
