Brand Considered Brief Our attempt here is to explain the different evaluation parameters on which the various competitor websites will be studied against. These parameters cover both experience as well as performance factors which are key to the success of any website. The next few pages will show the evaluation for each banking application in detail from a range of 1- Poor, 3- Decent 5- Excellent. Is it possible to switch between various devices to access the application and still undergo a consistent experience? Functionalities lack in interactivity. The application provides stunning graphics 5 Customer Experience & Adaptability Although visually appealing, customer complaints have stated that there is limited functionality to perform a transaction for android and that it only permits viewing accounts. The same app for iOS, however, apparently enables transaction. App crashes sometimes on Android Kitkat. 3 Capabilities & Functionalities Consistent and visually enhanced styling is present across different pages. Many interactive features are also present such as easy carousel style swiping to toggle between accounts and tiled display of important functionalities. 5 Discoverability Most features of the website that are available are clearly discoverable. 5 Navigation Navigation is smooth and very efficient. ANZ Go Money What we could adopt Just as we had mentioned for the Kaching application, the ANZ go money application also uses rich styling to clearly distinguish between its various important features. This allows the user to quickly browse through the various options and tap on the most pertinent ones What we should avoid Certainly the visually stunning graphics is one of the stand out factors of ANZ go money. We should also aim to build an application that stands out aesthetically but also ensure that this does not affect performance in some carrier networks due to high resolution images 2 1 2 1 Learnings

Barclays Pingit Aesthetics The Barclays PingitiOS and Android applications are strictly functional and do not offer much in terms of aesthetics. To some, it might seem like a good option though to not have too many visually rich graphics that could save on load time. 3 Customer Experience & Adaptability Customer Experience is rated by users to be among the very best amongst applications of a similar nature. Users have rated the application highly on both the Apple Store as well as the Play Store. Applications are consistent in nature across either platforms as well. 5 Capabilities & Functionalities The Pingit application presents some really smooth and interactive features that allows easy toggle between various functionalities such as viewing account information, banner type expandable ‘hide balance’ and ‘show balance’ are also very unique and nice to use. 5 Discoverability The discoverability of all the various features in the application is very clear and intuitive. 5 Navigation Navigation is smooth and easily operable at both the global level as well as the footer area. Barclays Pingit What we could adopt There are quite a few features on the Barclays Pingit application that could be adoptedlike: • The retractable menu option at the top left corner • The easy swipe and toggle option between various payment screens What we should avoid Although the Pingit application scores on most counts, there are a few areas in the application which differ in styling in consistency across the Apple and Android platforms. RBS- Citizen’s Bank Aesthetics Although one of the most well received applications in the industry, the Citizen Bank’s application is not the most pleasing application to look at. It has colors consistent to the branding of the parent brand but there’s not a lot of spectacular or eye catching visual treats for the end user. 3 Customer Experience & Adaptability The Android application is better received by users from an experience view point owing purely to the performance of the same. Customer complaints are present as far as application loading, check deposit features and crashes are concerned. 3 Capabilities & Functionalities The application is mostly built for the most basic functionalities such as paying bills and checking balance. This can be accessed by the user from the global navigation. Although not very interactive in nature, the application provides these basic functionalities at a good performance rate. 5 Discoverability Users have mentioned that the features of the application are within reach and easily discoverable 5 Navigation Navigation is smooth and easily operable at both the global level as well as the footer area.
