  3. No pressure for crime to be reported to the police but medical attention highly important Advise patient not to wash or change clothes

Client confidentiality Emergency contraception and advice PEP STI screening Hep B vaccination Forensic examination- sample of hair, bodily fluids or swabs Discussion with police officer who will pass on findings to Crown Prosecution to decide if trial should go ahead Care plan and crisis worker

  7. Emergency Contraceptives • Morning after pill • Levonelle (within 72 hours) • ellaOne (within 120 hours) • Copper intrauterine device

Post Exposure Prophylactic Opportunity after infection to prevent viral replication Should be taken as soon as possible (gold standard is within an hour) Take for 28 days 80% effective Blood transfusion> receptive anal intercourse> receptive vaginal intercourse> insertive vaginal intercourse> insertive anal intercourse> receptive oral sex (fellatio with ejaculation)>semen into eye Test 12 weeks after exposure

  9. Truvada (tenofovir and emtricitabine) once daily plus Kaletra (lopinavir and ritonavir) twice daily
