The Entry • High level discussion of the Campaign Agreements, support visit and initial thoughts and ideas of the LGU leadership
Deep Dive meeting with the Implementing Team Discussed key campaign documents, assumptions and relations
Mentoring the CF and the key persons involved in the Campaign Implementation
The Community Organizing Plan Context: • CBCRM Site – PO Managed Marine Sanctuaries • Only 30 PO members, less than half are active • PO has no link to BLGU but sits in the MFARMCs • Conflict among and between PO leaders and the community coastal residents
lack of experience of CF in community organizing – especially working with community leaders • ACF has regular interaction with community • New “ManComm” Structure with PO-BLGU representatives and leadership conflicts
Community Organizing • Is the process facilitating formation of groups, community social structures and norms that will be the vehicle for achieving desired development goals over a period of time • Is a broad strategy generally to empower communities to own the development process
understanding the leadership and social structures and relationships, who are de facto leaders, how people decide, what are important to them and where are their interests • Clarifying roles and responsibilities of social structures and leadership • Building effective community leaders
CO Plan Objective • To outline a clear direction and strategy for the formation and strengthening of the newly formed Iniban Marine Sanctuary Management Committee • To increase capability of the CF in organizing community structure (ManComm) experientially • To have a measurable target and step by step strategy to guide the CF and ACF
PROCESS Monthly Updating, Assessment and re-planning (CF-PPM & CF/ACF/Supervisor)
