CONFIGURATION • System intended for IPS, ≥D6-DPH and Inboard (EVC-E2 required). • Minimum one “HCU-in-control” station onboard. • ≥4” display needed for configuration. • Compatible with Twin, Triple and Quad. • 12 or 24 volt capacity (fuse 10A for 2 units, 16A for 4 units). • 2 OR 4 interceptors on a boat. • 600, 750, 900 or 1050 mm blade sizes offered. • Servo unit is off center (mirror delivery), switch blades to relocate servo location. • AUTO+MANUAL OR MANUAL mode configuration is decided at order. • AUTO = trim, list and steering roll compensation • (trim and list for Inboard, no steering roll comp.) • MANUAL = manual (only operator activated actions) • Different ICM hardware for AUTO and MANUAL • Default curves will be enabled for AUTO. • Improvement will be possible based on the boats individual characteristics. • DPS antenna or optional GPS may be used (needed for AUTO). • MPS is underway with implementation of prediction calculations and size selection. • Optional mounting plate (req. for commercial applications) Volvo Penta Season’s News 2014

Using just the joystick, it lets the driver steer the boat in any direction or revolve it. Install up to six joysticks for best view in all situations. This enables the driver to adjust the driving for minimal fuel consumption. Interceptors (NEW) A fully automated and EVC integrated interceptor system for superior boat behavior, comfort and safety at sea. Low-speed mode The adjustable Low-speed mode is integrated in the controls. Thanks to a slip coupling in the gearbox, the boat speed at idling – e.g. driving in marinas and canals – can be reduced by around 50%, from 5–6 knots to 2–3 knots. Volvo Penta IPS EVC-E Options Aquamatic sterndrive Diesel inboard Sailboat Tow mode for water sport This is a very convenient option, perfect for water skiing, wakeboarding or tubing. After the driver has set a maximum engine rpm, the engine maintains the speed and compensates for any changes in load. Integrated in the controls. Single-lever mode Sportfish mode Makes a boat extremely manoeuvrable at fishing. With the pods locked toe-out, the driver can rapidly turn the boat around its own axis and follow the fish at high speed in reverse, using only the engine controls. Cruise control Volvo Penta Season’s News 2014 With the Single-lever mode, shift and throttle for all engines – twin, triple or quad installations – is easily operated with only one lever. It is comfortable and gives precise control over the boat speed even in rough seas. A useful feature for adjusting and fine-tuning the engine rpm. With the easy-to-reach button on the control, the driver can optimize the boat speed for best possible fuel economy and comfort.
