NERC SPS/RAS Standards • NERC drafting team to write a new RAS definition and related standards • http://www.nerc.com/pa/Stand/Pages/Project-2010-05_2%E2%80%93Special-Protection-Systems.aspx • Second draft proposed RAS definition is posted. Comments and voting close October 14 • Webinar happened September 23 and is now posted • Drafting team meeting October 14-17 • Target BOT approval November 2014 • File with FERC December 2014 • Begin standard drafting early 2015

  7. NERC Proposed RAS Definition There is a broad general RAS definition, but . . . . . . many more exceptions than the present SPS/RAS definition. . . . and retire SPS.
