  1. Activator: Sit down SILENTLY Take HW out and make sure name is on it. Write HW in agenda (handout) Calculate Mentally: (no talking, no writing, no air writing): 19-47

Today’s Objective(s): • I will apply my understanding of ratios and rates • So I can solve real-world problems using tables, tape diagrams, or double number lines as needed. • I know I got it when I can accuratelycomplete at least 2 real world problems from each of the stations independently or with my partners with at least 80% accuracy. • 6.RP1,2,3

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, I will be able to use all four language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing.I will participate in an oral discussion with my partners, where I will use my understanding of ratios and rates to communicate how to solve real-world problems using tables, tape diagrams, or double number lines. I will show my understanding by solving at least 2 problems with 80% accuracy from each center independently or with my partners. Academic Math Language Vocabulary: ratio, rate, tables, tape diagrams, double number line.

  5. Center Work: • Students are to: • Read over the directions and problem(s) at each station. • With your group, you will answer the problem(s) on your recording sheet. You will solve at least 2 problems. • When the teacher tells you to, you will move to the next station and follow the directions. You will only have 8 minutes at each station.
