SRI VENKATESWARA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, TIRUPATI WELCOME TO Addl. Secretary and Other Dignitaries 19-10-2016 TECHNICAL EDUCATION QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME – II CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE(Under TEQIP –II–1.2.1 (CoE)Centre for Atmospheric Remote Sensing and Advanced Signal ProcessingAn Interdisciplinary centre involving Dept. of ECE and Dept. of Civil Engineering
Research Objectives of CoE • Signal Processing:To Develop the algorithms for L-Band Data Processing. • Weather Modelling:To forecast the weather with resolution of 3X3Km. • Pollution Dispersion:To study the effect of Ozone Interaction with crop yield.
Comparison of different combination microphysics and cumulus schemes
DATA INPUTS from various Sources • Level 1B Product (Satellite Images) from USGS (United States Geo logical Survey) (www.usgs.gov) • Level 1B Product (Satellite Images) from NRSC (National Remote Sensing Centre) for Indian Remote Sensing Satellites like IRS (Indian Remote Sensing), LISS (Linear Imaging Scanning Sensor) (www.bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in) • Automatic Weather Station (AWS) data from MOSDAC (Meteorological and Oceanographic Satellite Data Archival Centre) (http://www.mosdac.gov.in/) • Atmospheric Parameters in Tirupati Region from NARL. (www.narl.gov.in)
Land Surface Temperature • To identify different land cover types and to perform classification depending upon the radiances. • To estimate Land surface temperature (LST) and correlate Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and LST for different seasons.
