Our Journey Continues • Oct 2011 – Hired KU Work Group for Community Health and Development as consultant • Oct 2011 – Formed CHA Steering Committee • Dec 2011 to March 2012 – Gathered data for CHA • April 2012 – Community feedback • May to June 2012 – Prioritization of issues • July 2012 to April 2013 – Formed work groups and developed plan • Today – Community Call to Action and building on-line evaluation system
Single vs. Multi-County - Pros • More nimble to move the process forward • Ability to create agreement on approach to community health assessment • Greater selectivity with Steering Committee
Single vs. Multi-County - Cons • Fewer people to share the load • Fewer opportunities for bouncing ideas and problem solving • Limitations on skills and abilities • Facilitators • Organizers • Data crunchers • Report writers • Cheerleaders
