The First Step: Markup languages and documentation creation • Used Microsoft Word • Went beyond basic word processing • Learned to manipulate text and objects • Took advantage of MS Word’s formatting capabilities

The Fourth Step: Relational Databases • Used Microsoft Access • Designed a database with a variety of features • Created relationships between tables • Learned to make queries and reports to find out specific data from a collection This picture represents how databases help people to easily “train,” “fetch” and store information.
