Teaching Philosophy I believe that: • Every child has the ability to learn.(Learning styles) • Hands-on experience and adults’ scaffolding are important part of learning. • Partnership with parents could provide consistent care and education.
Standard Two – Knowledge of Human Development & Learning Artefact: Child Portfolio Module: THE351 Learning and Teaching Through the Arts Date: August 2007
Standard Two – Knowledge of Human Development & Learning Rationale: • In-dept discovery of the child’s drawing, writing and reading development over a period of two months. • Observations and Assessment are made to document child’s development. • Looked at the different factors affecting her – School, Home and Community. • Lessons designed to scaffold the child’s development.

Standard Five – Motivation & Management Rationale: • Activities encouraged children to work collaboratively and independently. • Teacher-made activities engaged children by relating to lessons.

Standard Ten – Partnership Rationale: • An activity that provided opportunity for parents to take part in children’s learning. • Simple instructions and materials were included for easy comprehension. • Survey form was included to get feedback from the parents.
