Busy Serving or Discouraged? • Local churches can become discouraged and stop serving, stop growing • They look back at the way things were • They look around and compare with other local churches (size, age, leadership, etc.) • We need to learn to serve God where we are now, with what we have now

  3. Serving Where You Are With What You Have • By the Spirit of God (Ezra 3:12; 4:5,24; Zech. 4:6-10) • By using what God gives you (Mt. 25:14-30) • By sacrifice and courage (Mk. 14:3-9) • By focusing on self, not others (Jn. 21:20-23) • By offering what is most needful (Acts 3:6) • By working within your ability (Acts 11:29; 2 Cor. 8:12) • By focusing on service, not size (Rev. 3:8)

  4. Serving Where You Are With What You Have • Stop looking back and start serving • Stop comparing with others and start serving • Overcome discouragement and serve God where you are with what you have (Rev. 3:12)
