  1. Facts for May 24 May 1956 First Eurovision Song Contest was held in Switzerland and was won by the host country with a song called ‘Refrain’ sung by Lys Assia. On Saturday 23 May it was the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Austria and was won by Sweden’s Mans Zelmerlow with a song call ‘Heroes’.

  2. Facts for May 25 May This day each year is know as Africa Day and it is the annual commemoration of the 1963 founding of the Organisation of African Unity. The African Union is made up of 53 member states across the African continent who try to work together to address the challenges they face such as conflict, climate change and poverty. Africa Day is a celebration of African unity and culture.

  8. Games Parliament The Games Parliament will be holding Inter house Hoppy relay races for P4s starting this week on Wednesday at break time. If you want to take part go to the hoppy track at the start of break time Inter house mini-tag P6s trial today and P4s on Tuesday, come along to the ball court if you want to take part.

  9. Well Done to …………. Sian and Josie who took part in an Athletics Competition in Inverness at the weekend and both had PBs in some of their events. Maciej who took part in a Swimming Competition South this weekend.

  10. Well Done to …………. Megan who took part in a Camp Visit with the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts over the weekend Our pupils who took part in the Orkney Traditional Music Project during the Folk Festival
