Rigorous Quality Control Processes • Before EBS 12 was released • Strictly enforced scope / change control process • Repeated, thorough system test cycles • Weekly senior executive review of key metrics against goals • Formal Entrance / Exit criteria for testing phases • Formal Release Readiness Review prior to release • Since EBS 12 was released • Weekly senior executive review of key metrics against goals • Structured, consistent approach to maintenance deliveries

Thorough Extended Testing Efforts • In addition to standard internal QC cycles, additional groups within and outside of Oracle augmented the overall testing efforts. • Participating groups included: • Oracle Consulting • 100+ resources conducted pre-release testing • Strategic Partners • Experienced resources from Accenture and IBM Global Services conducted pre-release testing • Oracle Support • 200+ resources conducted pre-release testing • Upgrade and testing of Accelerators (Accelerators.Oracle.com) • Language / Translations testing • 930+ person days across 3 representative countries • Oracle’s Demo Team • Multiple passes of upgrade and functional testing • Oracle’s IT Group • 4 rounds of testing between August 2006 and product release

Pre-Release Customer Testing Results • Testing conducted on current copy of production environments from 2 existing customers • All EBS product categories represented: Human Resources, Financials, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, CRM • Complex technical configurations tested, including RAC and SSL • 12 upgrade test passes completed • 100+ issues identified and resolved • Functional validation completed for key products / processes • Validation of and improvements made to upgrade doc • Additional upgrade testing and performance tuning was conducted on 4 in-house customer databases

Structured Codeline Maintenance • Clear separation between maintenance and new features • Deliver new features in new releases (ex. 12.1) • Deliver maintenance in regularly consolidated, high quality rollup patches (RUPs), released on a predefined schedule • Consistent, Predictable Maintenance Policies • One-off patches will be automatically available for P1s and escalated P2s • All other fixes (including one-offs) will be delivered in RUPs • RUPs published on consisten schedule, synchronized with CPU postings • RUPs will be released suite-wide and by product family • Customers are recommended to: • Take the suite-wide RUP, if practical • Go live on the latest possible codeline (12 + latest available RUP) • Develop a strategy to stay current on maintenance after go live
