Petrarch’s Like Continued 1316: father’s death; he stops studying law 1327-1374: wrote and revised his sonnets Traveled: France, Germany, Italy, and Spain looking for old Latin classics and manuscripts 1330: entered the service of Cardinal Colonna after finishing his Minor Orders of the church Remainder of life spent in the service of the church under different Cardinals and Bishops

    5. Interesting Facts He wrote a song book called Canzoniere, which was inspired by a woman named Laura. He loved her, but it was not returned. Petrarch wrote many important letters He was a founder of Renaissance humanism because of his critical spirit.

If rejected, he still feels comfort.
