Software Tape EncryptionKey Management Improvements • Situations you can encounter with keys used for tape encryption: • A key is compromised (real or perceived) • The keyset’s lifetime (according to your organization’s policy) has been reached • Security Center can help address these issues by: • Generating a replacement keyset for writing encrypted tapes • Using one active keyset to write encrypted tapes per system / MCP release • Retaining compromised/expired keysets indefinitely to decrypt existing tapes © 2011 Unisys Corporation. Enterprise Output Manager 9.0: Operational Features • Transfer jobs to printers using the LPR/LPD protocol for expanded interoperability • Staging output files in a temporary folder • Scaling a metafile to page size makes it easier to use metafiles • Extend use of directory alias for backup directories, application start directories, and directory monitors increases operational agility • Directory Monitor can handle zero-length files and user-defined file types such as *.txt, *pdf, etc. • Log additional events: paper needed, successful job transfer, and restored file details © 2011 Unisys Corporation.
