How did Theodore Roosevelt contribute to the Progressive Era?
Throughout Theodore Roosevelt’s(TR’s) presidency, many of his actions showed that he believed the president should act in the interest of the public. President Theodore Roosevelt (1901–1909)
TR believed in consumer protection and pushed for the passage of the Meat Inspection Act and Pure Food and Drug Actin 1906.
TR was known as a “trustbuster”,breaking up trusts that he thought were bad for the U.S. economy.
