CONSIDERATIONS • Teaching of Grammar • Not to be taught separately • Definitions and grammatical explanations to be avoided • Aim: to use language in a better and systematic manner • Use of Mother tongue • Rote learning of meanings and mechanical translations are discouraged.
Pronunciation • No strict British or American model of pronunciation • Stress and Intonation • Tolerance towards errors • Too much emphasis on error correction can dampen enthusiasm and confidence • CCE
