A patient you can’t help comes along… • Those familiar with Honduras know the situation– you see a patient in clinic whose needs are far beyond the capabilities of your team… • He may have cataracts or a club foot and you have no surgeons on your team. • Instead of leaving that patient to his own devices to find the additional care and worrying about him for months, there is another step you can take!
How MMEX can help • At www.mmex.org you will find an online database of permanent medical clinics and short-term mission teams serving in Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. • We list the dates, destinations, medical specialties, and contact information for organizations who run short term missions and permanent clinics and hospitals. • This information helps you REFER your patients to specialists and arrange follow up care for those who need it.
Take your Honduras mission list with you today! • Mary Guffey has brought a sample spreadsheet of upcoming missions to Honduras in the next year listed SO FAR. Many more will be added over the next several months. • Please take a look at www.mmex.org and start posting your trips right away! • Contact us with any questions! Katherine Meyers can be reached at katherinemeyers@mmex.org or (410) 218-0192 • Thank you for your time and continued efforts to serve the people of Honduras.
