  3. 2009 Budget & Levy • Annual Levy to Member Counties & MCDs: 2009 Levy Rate = 0.000020778 X 2007 Equalized Valuation = $38,705,482,900 ____________________________________________ Total 2010 Levy Amount = $804,222 Calumet County Levy = $62,217 (7.7% of total levy / 3.2% of total annual budget of ~$1.9M)

Recent Project & Activities(2008-09) • Regional Planning Programs: • Fox Cities/Oshkosh MPO (LRLUTPs/TIPs) • EDA Economic Development District (CEDS) • Local Assistance Planning • County Smart Growth Plan Assistance • NR-135 Mining Reclamation Program • Census PSAP Program • Kimberly School District SRTS Plan • Valley Transit – Transit Dev. Plan (TDP) • Valley Transit Staffing ACCESS TO FEDERAL MONIES! Saves County ~0.1-0.2 FTE position & mine operators $ (permit fees)! ~$46,000 obtained for planning! $60,000 obtained for planning! Prevented loss of $4M in grants!

Region Travel Demand Model • Transit Component • Freight Component • Trafficshed Modeling ~ Same price as 2005 (?) but better imagery, PLUS ~$8,000 reimbursement from USGS-NGA Saves County ~0.1-0.2 FTE position AND mine operators $ (permit fees)! Improved mobility, safety, and transport of people and goods throughout the region!

Ongoing Project & Activities (2009) • Local Assistance: • Photography Ortho-rectification • NEWSC Grant Administration • City of Brillion SRTS • Town of Harrison • Midway Road “Complete Streets” Corridor Plan - 8 more plans in 2009/2010! + MORE! ( REFER TO HANDOUT) $3,000+ Value! $70,000 Obtained for MCDs! Calls on EC regularly for services Estimated $30k -$40k value when complete

Planned Project & Activities (2009-10) • REGIONAL EFFORTS • Groundwater Recharge Area Mapping (new WGNHS Soil/Water Balance Model) • Passenger Rail Studies & Workshops • Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway Plan (1997 plan update & expansion) • Regional Safe-Routes-To-School (SRTS) Coordinator Pilot Program Value = ~$10,000 Wait for WisDOT or have RPC take the lead? Over $50,000 leveraged from Community Foundations and Others Over $300,000 leveraged from DOT for 2-yr pgm.!
