Native American Day For homework – due THURSDAY (bring it in early if you’ll forget!) - Please bring in an old pillow case that mom or dad doesn’t want anymore… check first! - If you can’t find one, bring in an old, OVERSIZED T-shirt that you don’t want anymore… check first! - Either option MUST BE LIGHT COLORED - Have an extra? Talk to a friend! - Drop them in the box by Friday with your name in permanent marker on the tag (or inside/ back)

Native American Day • Deck out your pillowcase in tribal celebration!!! • Create your own “native identity” • example: “she who loves chicken sandwiches!” • MUST BE: colorful, creative, appropriate • I’ll supply the tools… you supply the “poncho” • Poncho: old pillow case OR T-shirt • MUST BE: light colored fabric (ask parents first!) • We’ll be working on these ALL CLASS on Thursday • Bring snacks & drinks (we’ll have a sign-up) • We’ll wear them all day Friday while we learn about the plains Indians culture of the west!
