  13. SHARING Competency S3: The teacher candidate demonstrates the ability to select and use appropriate curriculum resources, including current technology. Though students do not want to stop singing and dancing, the internet teaches them fun and important facts about music and music programs. At the Elementary Level, I use PPT quite often to display words to new songs for chorus and to add literary components even for kindergarten reading levels. I grew up in the Capital City of Florida, attended college in a very rural area of NE Georgia, and have made two trips to Europe including a summer church music internship. In my classroom, my walls are full of pictures of the students performing, advertisements encouraging them toward success and self-discipline, and a weekly quote supporting learning in music.
