  2. 1:1 Laptop Initiative • On May 20, 2010, the Board of Education approved by a 5-0 vote a one-to-one laptop initiative for all students and staff in grades 9-12 during the 2010-2011 school year. • Focus of the initiative involves three areas: • 1) greater engagement of students in active, collaborative learning, • 2) instruction at higher levels of learning, and • 3) development of 21st century skills to prepare students for the workplace and further education. • Full details can be found on the Hart County Laptop Information Sheet.
