Surah 12: Yusuf CáÆ áäÙãH ãAÒâätÂCãQ çTánCáäÆáÛ áuå·áäËÂB áäÉãH Øãtå·áÊ âLãäoáQâF CáÆáÑý53þ çÈ×ãcáän çnÒâ·á² ØãäQán áäÉãH áØãäQán áÈãcán [12:53] And I do not declare myself free, most surely (man's) self is wont to command (him to do) evil, except such as my Lord has had mercy on, surely my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. Surah 12: Yusuf ý55þ çÈ×ãÃá® ç¬×ã·ác ØãäÊãH ã¡ånáÛB ãÌãMDáqág ÔáÃá® ØãËåÃá¯å_B áÁCáºACáxáÖ â]å×ác CáÏåËãÆ âFáäÒáRáXáÖ ã¡ånáÛB Ø㶠á¸âsÒâ×ã CãäËáä¿áÆ áÀãÂámá¾áÑ ý56þ áÌ×ãËãtådâÇåÂB áoå_áF â°×ã£âÊ áÙáÑ ACáxáäÊ ÌáÆ CáËãXáÇåcáoãQ âS×ã|âÊ [12:55] He said: Place me (in authority) over the treasures of the land, surely I am a good keeper, knowing well.[12:56] And thus did We give to Yusuf power in the land-- he had mastery in it wherever he liked; We send down Our mercy on whom We please, and We do not waste the reward of those who do good. Surah 12: Yusuf ý57þ áÉÒâ»áäXáÖ åBÒâÊCá¾áÑ åBÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÃãä çoå×ág ãTáoãgÝB âoå_ááÛáÑåÈâÎáÑ åÈâÏá¶áoá¯á¶ ãÐå×áÃá® åBÒâÃágákᶠá¸âsÒâÖ âTáÒågãH ACá_áÑý58þ áÉÑâoã¿ËâÆ âÐá [12:57] And certainly the reward of the hereafter is much better for those who believe and guard (against evil).[12:58] And Yusuf's brothers came and went in to him, and he knew them, while they did not recognize him. Surah 12: Yusuf åÈâ¿×ãQáF åÌãäÆ Èâ¿áä èfáGãQ ØãÊÒâXåMB áÁCẠåÈãÎãpCáÏá`ãQ ÈâÎáqáäÏá_ CáäÇáÂáÑý59þ áÌ×ãÂãqËâÇåÂB âoå×ág åCáÊáFáÑ áÄå×á¿åÂB Øã¶ÑâF ØãäÊáF áÉåÑáoáW áÙáFãÉÒâQáoå»áW áÙáÑ ÕãkËã® åÈâ¿á áÄå×á¾ áÚᶠãÐãQ ØãÊÒâWåGáW åÈáä ÉãIá¶ý60þ [12:59] And when he furnished them with their provision, he said: Bring to me a brother of yours from your father; do you not see that I give full measure and that I am the best of hosts?[12:60] But if you do not bring him to me, you shall have no measure (of corn) from me, nor shall you come near me. Surah 12: Yusuf ý61þ áÉÒâÃã®Cá·á CáäÊãHáÑ âÍCáQáF âÐåËá® âjãÑBáoâËás åBÒâÂCáºåÈâÏáäÃá¯á åÈãÏãÂCácãn Ø㶠åÈâÏáXá®Cá£ãQ åBÒâÃá¯å_B ãÐãÊCá×åXã·ã áÁCáºáÑ ý62þ áÉÒâ¯ã_åoáÖ åÈâÏáäÃá¯á åÈãÏãÃåÎáF ÔáÂãH åBÒâRáÃá»ÊB BálãH CáÏáÊÒâ¶ãoå¯áÖ [12:61] They said: We will strive to make his father yield in respect of him, and we are sure to do (it).[12:62] And he said to his servants: Put their money into their bags that they may recognize it when they go back to their family, so that they may come back. Surah 12: Yusuf âÄå×á¿åÂB CáäËãÆ á°ãËâÆ CáÊCáQáF CáÖ åBÒâÂCẠåÈãÏ×ãQáF ÔáÂãH BÒâ¯ã_án CáäÇáÃá¶ý63þ áÉÒâ«ã¶Cádá âÐá CáäÊãHáÑ åÄáXå¿áÊ CáÊCágáF CáËá¯áÆ åÄãsånáGᶠ[12:63] So when they returned to their father, they said: O our father, the measure is withheld from us, therefore send with us our brother, (so that) we may get the measure, and we will most surely guard him. Surah 12: Yusuf ÌãÆ ãÐ×ãgáF ÔáÃá® åÈâ¿âXËãÆáF CáÇá¾ áäÙãH ãÐå×áÃá® åÈâ¿âËáÆD åÄáÎ áÁCáºý64þ áÌ×ãÇãcBáäoÂB âÈácånáF áÒâÎáÑ Cæ«ã¶Các çoå×ág âÐäÃÂCᶠâÄåRẠ[12:64] He said: I cannot trust in you with respect to him, except as I trusted in you with respect to his brother before; but Allah is the best Keeper, and He is the most Merciful of the merciful ones. Surah 12: Yusuf åÈãÏå×áÂãH åVáäjân åÈâÏáXá®Cá£ãQ åBÑâká_áÑ åÈâÏá®CáXáÆ åBÒâdáXᶠCáäÇáÂáÑCáËå×áÂãH åVáäjân CáËâXá®Cá£ãQ ãÍãm~áÎ Øã³åRáÊ CáÆ CáÊCáQáF CáÖ åBÒâÂCáºáÀãÂál èo×ã¯áQ áÄå×á¾ âjBájåqáÊáÑ CáÊCágáF â¬á·ådáÊáÑ CáËáÃåÎáF âo×ãÇáÊáÑý65þ ço×ãtáÖ çÄå×á¾ [12:65] And when they opened their goods, they found their money returned to them. They said: O our father! what (more) can we desire? This is our property returned to us, and we will bring corn for our family and guard our brother, and will have in addition the measure of a camel (load); this is an easy measure. Surah 12: Yusuf ãÐäÃÂB áÌãäÆ Cæ»ã[åÒáÆ ãÉÒâWåKâW ÔáäXác åÈâ¿á¯áÆ âÐáÃãsånâF åÌá áÁCáºåÈâÏá»ã[åÒáÆ âÍåÒáWD CáäÇáÃᶠåÈâ¿ãQ á¥CádâÖ ÉáF áäÙãH ãÐãQ ØãËáäËâWåGáXáÂý66þ çÄ×ã¾áÑ âÁÒâ»áÊ CáÆ ÔáÃá® âÐäÃÂB áÁCẠ[12:66] He said: I will by no means send him with you until you give me a firm covenant in Allah's name that you will most certainly bring him back to me, unless you are completely surrounded. And when they gave him their covenant, he said: Allah is the One in Whom trust is placed as regards what we say. Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 12: Yusuf åÌãÆ åBÒâÃâgåjBáÑ èkãcBáÑ èPCáQ ÌãÆ åBÒâÃâgåkáW áÙ áäØãËáQ CáÖ áÁCáºáÑãÉãH èAåØáw ÌãÆ ãÐäÃÂB áÌãäÆ Èâ¿Ëá® ØãËå²âF CáÆáÑ èUáºãäoá·áXâäÆ èPBáÒåQáFãÄáä¾áÒáXá×åÃᶠãÐå×áÃá®áÑ âYåÃáä¾áÒáW ãÐå×áÃá® ãÐäÃã áäÙãH âÈå¿âdåÂBý67þ áÉÒâÃãä¾áÒáXâÇåÂB [12:67] And he said: O my sons ! do not (all) enter by one gate and enter by different gates and I cannot avail you aught against Allah; judgment is only Allah's; on Him do I rely, and on Him let those who are reliant rely. Surah 12: Yusuf ÈâÏåËá® ØãËå³âÖ áÉCá¾ CáäÆ ÈâÎÒâQáF åÈâÎáoáÆáF â]å×ác åÌãÆ åBÒâÃágáj CáäÇáÂáÑâÐáäÊãHáÑ CáÎCá£áº áPÒâ»å¯áÖ ãuå·áÊ Ø㶠æUá_Các áäÙãH èAåØáw ÌãÆ ãÐäÃÂB áÌãäÆáÉÒâÇáÃå¯áÖ áÙ ãrCáäËÂB áoá\å¾áF áäÌã¿~áÂáÑ âÍCáËåÇáäÃá® CáÇãä èÈåÃã® ÑâmáÂý68þ [12:68] And when they had entered as their father had bidden them, it did not avail them aught against Allah, but (it was only) a desire in the soul of Yaqoub which he satisfied; and surely he was possessed of knowledge because We had given him knowledge, but most people do not know. Surah 12: Yusuf åCáÊáF ØãäÊãH áÁCẠâÍCágáF ãÐå×áÂãH ÓáÑD á¸âsÒâÖ ÔáÃá® åBÒâÃágáj CáäÇáÂáÑý69þ áÉÒâÃáÇå¯áÖ åBÒâÊCá¾ CáÇãQ åuãNáXåRáW áÚᶠá½ÒâgáF [12:69] And when they went in to Yusuf. he lodged his brother with himself, saying: I am your brother, therefore grieve not at what they do. Surah 12: Yusuf ãÐ×ãgáF ãÄåcán Ø㶠áUáÖCá»ãätÂB áÄá¯á_ åÈãÎãpCáÏá`ãQ ÈâÎáqáäÏá_ CáäÇáÃá¶ý70þ áÉÒâºãnCátá åÈâ¿áäÊãH âo×ã¯åÂB CáÏâXáäÖáF çÉãäláKâÆ áÉáäláF áäÈâ[ý71þ áÉÑâkã»å·áW BálCáäÆ ÈãÏå×áÃá® åBÒâÃáRåºáFáÑ åBÒâÂCẠ[12:70] So when he furnished them with their provisions, (someone) placed the drinking cup in his brother's bag. Then a crier cried out: O caravan! you are most surely thieves.[12:71] They said while they were facing them: What is it that you miss? Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 12: Yusuf åCáÊáFáÑ èo×ã¯áQ âÄåÇãc ãÐãQ ACá_ ÌáÇãÂáÑ ãÀãÃáÇåÂB á­BáÒâ{ âkã»å·áÊ åBÒâÂCáºý72þ çÈ×ã®áp ãÐãQã¡ånáÛB Ø㶠ákãtå·âËã CáËåNã_ CáäÆ ÈâXåÇãÃá® åká»á ãÐäÃÂCáW åBÒâÂCáºý73þ áÌ×ãºãnCás CáäËâ¾ CáÆáÑ [12:72] They said: We miss the king's drinking cup, and he who shall bring it shall have a camel-load and I am responsible for it.[12:73] They said: By Allah! you know for certain that we have not come to make mischief in the land, and we are not thieves. Surah 12: Yusuf ý74þ áÌ×ãQãlCá¾ åÈâXËâ¾ ÉãH âÍâJDáqá_ CáÇᶠåBÒâÂCáºáÀãÂámá¾ âÍâJBáqá_ áÒâÏᶠãÐãÃåcán Ø㶠ákã_âÑ ÌáÆ âÍâJDáqá_ åBÒâÂCáºý75þ áÌ×ãÇãÂCáä«ÂB Õãqå`áÊ [12:74] They said: But what shall be the requital of this, if you are liars?[12:75] They said: The requital of this is that the person in whose bag it is found shall himself be (held for) the satisfaction thereof; thus do we punish the wrongdoers. Surah 12: Yusuf ÌãÆ CáÏá_áoåháXåsB áäÈâ[ ãÐ×ãgáF ACá®ãÑ áÄåRẠåÈãÏãXá×ã®åÑáGãQ áFákáRá¶âÍCágáF ámâgåGá×ã áÉCá¾ CáÆ á¸âsÒâ×ã CáÊåkã¾ áÀãÂámá¾ ãÐ×ãgáF ACá®ãÑâÐäÃÂB ACáxáÖ ÉáF áäÙãH ãÀãÃáÇåÂB ãÌÖãj Ø㶠[12:76] So he began with their sacks before the sack of his brother, then he brought it out from his brother's sack. Thus did We plan for the sake of Yusuf; it was not (lawful) that he should take his brother under the king's law unless Allah pleased; Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 12: Yusuf ACáxáäÊ ÌáäÆ èVCá_ánáj â°á¶åoáÊ ý76þ çÈ×ãÃá® èÈåÃã® Õãl ãäÄâ¾ á¹åÒá¶áÑ We raise the degrees of whomsoever We please, and above every one possessed of knowledge is the All-knowing one. Surah 12: Yusuf CáÎáäoásáGᶠâÄåRẠÌãÆ âÐáä çfáF á¹áoás åká»á¶ å¹ãoåtáÖ ÉãH åBÒâÂCáºCæÊCá¿áäÆ çäoáw åÈâXÊáF áÁCẠåÈâÏá CáÎãkåRâÖ åÈáÂáÑ ãÐãtå·áÊ Ø㶠â¸âsÒâÖý77þ áÉÒâ·ã|áW CáÇãQ åÈáÃå®áF âÐäÃÂBáÑ [12:77] They said: If he steal, a brother of his did indeed steal before; but Yusuf kept it secret in his heart and did not disclose it to them. Surah 12: Yusuf åmâhᶠBæo×ãRá¾ Cæhå×áw CæQáF âÐá áäÉãH âqÖãqá¯åÂB CáÏâäÖáF CáÖ åBÒâÂCáºý78þ áÌ×ãËãtådâÇåÂB áÌãÆ á½BáoáÊ CáäÊãH âÐáÊCá¿áÆ CáÊákácáFâÍákËã® CáËá®CáXáÆ CáÊåká_áÑ ÌáÆ áäÙãH ámâgåGáäÊ ÉáF ãÐäÃÂB álCá¯áÆ áÁCáºý79þ áÉÒâÇãÂCá«áä BælãH C~áäÊãH [12:78] They said: O chief! he has a father, a very old man, therefore retain one of us in his stead; surely we see you to be of the doers of good.[12:79] He said: Allah protect us that we should seize other than him with whom we found our property, for then most surely we would be unjust. Surah 12: Yusuf åÈáÂáF åÈâÎâo×ãRá¾ áÁCẠCæä×ã`áÊ åBÒâ|áÃág âÐåËãÆ åBÒâsáGå×áXåsB CáäÇáÃá¶ãÐäÃÂB áÌãäÆ Cæ»ã[åÒáäÆ Èâ¿å×áÃá® ámágáF åkẠåÈâ¾CáQáF áäÉáF åBÒâÇáÃå¯áW [12:80] Then when they despaired of him, they retired, conferring privately together. The eldest of them said: Do you not know that your father took from you a covenant in Allah's name, Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 12: Yusuf áÔáäXác á¡ånáÛB ábáoåQáF åÌáÃᶠá¸âsÒâÖ Ø㶠åÈâX¦áäoᶠCáÆ âÄåRẠÌãÆáÑáÌ×ãÇã¾CádåÂB âoå×ág áÒâÎáÑ Øã âÐäÃÂB áÈâ¿ådáÖ åÑáF ØãQáF Øã áÉálåGáÖý80þ and how you fell short of your duty with respect to Yusuf before? Therefore I will by no means depart from this land until my father permits me or Allah decides for me, and He is the best of the judges: Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 12: Yusuf á¹áoás áÀáËåQB áäÉãH CáÊCáQáF CáÖ åBÒâÂÒâ»á¶ åÈâ¿×ãQáF ÔáÂãH åBÒâ¯ã_ånBáÌ×ã«ã¶Các ãSå×á³åÃã CáäËâ¾ CáÆáÑ CáËåÇãÃá® CáÇãQ áäÙãH CáÊåkãÏáw CáÆáÑý81þ [12:81] Go back to your father and say: O our father! surely your son committed theft, and we do not bear witness except to what we have known, and we could not keep watch over the unseen: Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. Surah 12: Yusuf CáËåÃáRåºáF ØãXáäÂB áoå×ã¯åÂBáÑ CáÏ×㶠CáäËâ¾ ØãXáäÂB áUáÖåoá»åÂB ãÁáGåsBáÑý82þ áÉÒâºãjCá|á CáäÊãHáÑ CáÏ×㶠[12:82] And inquire in the town in which we were and the caravan with which we proceeded, and most surely we are truthful. Surah 12: Yusuf Ôátá® çÄ×ãÇá_ çoåRá|ᶠBæoåÆáF åÈâ¿âtâ·ÊáF åÈâ¿á åYáÂáäÒás åÄáQ áÁCáºâÈ×ã¿ádåÂB âÈ×ãÃá¯åÂB áÒâÎ âÐáäÊãH Cæ¯×ãÇá_ åÈãÏãQ ØãËá×ãWåGáÖ ÉáF âÐäÃÂBý83þ [12:83] He (Yaqoub) said: Nay, your souls have made a matter light for you, so patience is good; maybe Allah will bring them all together to me; surely He is the Knowing, the Wise. Surah 12: Yusuf âÍCáËå×á® åYáä£á×åQBáÑ á¸âsÒâÖ ÔáÃá® Ôá·ásáF CáÖ áÁCáºáÑ åÈâÏåËá® ÔáäÂáÒáWáÑý84þ çÈ×ã«á¾ áÒâÏᶠãÉåqâdåÂB áÌãÆáÉÒâ¿áW åÑáF Cæ¢áoác áÉÒâ¿áW ÔáäXác á¸âsÒâÖ âoâ¾åmáW âGáXå·áW ÐÃÂCáW åBÒâÂCáºý85þ áÌ×ã¿ãÂCáÏåÂB áÌãÆ [12:84] And he turned away from them, and said: O my sorrow for Yusuf! and his eyes became white on account of the grief, and he was a repressor (of grief).[12:85] They said: By Allah! you will not cease to remember Yusuf until you are a prey to constant disease or (until) you are of those who perish. Surah 12: Yusuf ãÐäÃÂB áÌãÆ âÈáÃå®áFáÑ ãÐäÃÂB ÔáÂãH ØãÊåqâcáÑ Øãä\áQ Òâ¿åwáF CáÇáäÊãH áÁCáºý86þ áÉÒâÇáÃå¯áW áÙ CáÆ [12:86] He said: I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, and I know from Allah what you do not know. Have they not then travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those before them?
