  2. What was World War 2 • The second World War was a war between most countries in the world. • There were more than 10,000 deaths in total in the countries that participated in the war. • It took place in most countries of the world. • It was started in 1939.

  3. What was the Blitz • The Nazi’s were the ones responsible for World War 2. • The Blitz was when Britain was bombed by Nazi planes. • There was much devastation.

  4. Why were children evacuated? • Bombing attacks were expected to fall on schools and homes in the city. • They were evacuated to prevent them from getting killed during the Blitz in the city. The country was the safest option for them to evacuate. • Mothers with new born were also evacuated to the country.
