Camp Kaitawa By Lachlan Gouder Camp Kaitawa
Introduction WOW! It was a warm, windy day as the extraordinary Year 5s were very excited for a challenging week at Camp Kaitawa! When we arrived I knew we were in for some big challenges but little did we know what we were in for: humongous pipelines, big mountains to climb, beautiful falls, dark, scary caves and smoking cookouts. It was an exhausting week.
Monday After a long journey and choosing my bed we started our first adventure. We went walking to the beautiful Green Lake which was amazing and then we had to go up the tiring pipeline. We walked up and down !Then we could go back for a yummy tea.
Tuesday After a good nights sleep we got up and got ready for Ngamoko . Then we got in cars until we got to the start. It took us 7 hours to do a walk like that .We finally made it to the end. Then we had to walk all the way back to camp.
Wednesday The bush walk that we did was amazing, especially the waterfalls which were colourful and the water sparkled in the sunlight .The path that we took went round in a circle which made me want to be sick. We did a 1 hour walk.
Thursday Yuck! The mud was the best bit about camp because we got to slip and slide and go up and down through the gross and sticky mud. When we got back to camp we went down to the campfires where Kaitlan, Brianna, Ethan, Ben and I made the best Nachos out of all the Nachos!
Friday After a good night sleep we packed our bags and then Mrs Johnson took us to play some games like: Bull Rush and Seaweed. After a long journey back to school I thought to myself that was the best, tiring week I’ve ever had.
