Serious Bitterness Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; -Hebrews 12:14-15 Bitterness springs up gradually.
What Causes Bitterness • Seeking to control the circumstances of your own life. • O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.Jeremiah 10:23 • God designed Man to have the same relationship with Him as a Child to a Parent.

How We Become Bitter Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Eph 4:31

Bitterness leads to: • A Weaker Relationship with God. • Possibly causing you to fail of God’s Grace. Heb. 12:15 • A less fulfilling life.
Solution Pray for God’s direction in your life. Live to please others and God more than self. Examine and adjust your priorities.
