13. Summary of Jobs Program Activities: March 2007 • Hired 1 new construction worker in March. A total of 13 out of 39 workers have been hired who live within Expo Corridor zip codes. • Continue to add individuals to existing database of Expo Corridor residents for a total of 330 interested individuals. These individuals will be tracked and FFP will work with CBOs to identify skill sets, qualifications for apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship training, and readiness to enter into union and skilled positions. • Participated in the Los Angeles Urban League’s Annual Community/Job Workforce Fair • Participated in the Caltrans Disparity Study Workshop • Participated in the SCLC Labor & Community Dialogue Panel Discussion • Supported the Employment Development Department Job Fair to promote the Expo Local Jobs Program
