Introductions • In groups of two, introduce: • your name • where you're from • how long you've been with the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement • a little known fact about yourself • At the end, we all introduce each other to the larger group
We have a website! • Brainstorm 1: why do organisations use websites? • Brainstorm 2: why does the ART network – why do we – use a website?
Who looks at our website? We need to establish who looks at the website, so we can adjust our it to suit them best • What is a stakeholder? • Who are our website’s stakeholders?
Why, and how, do our stakeholders look at our website? Before we can put things onto the website, we need to ask what and why we're putting them up there in the first place. • Pat to divide us into 4 groups • On your butchers paper, based upon our list of stakeholders on the whiteboard, give suggestions: • what information the stakeholders would come to find on the ART website • also why they want that information
Recap! • True or false game. • Hands on heads for 'true' • Hands down for 'false' • Winner gets a prize!
Who generates new content for our website? • Who potentially creates content? • It would then need to be chosen to be added to the website. Why would it be chosen? • What is the purpose of a piece of content being added to the website? • Whom would it be targeted at?
Whose job is it to update our website, and why? • Whose job is it? • Why? • formal ART objectives: • To promote National Societies’ participation in HIV/AIDS activities • To ensure relevant inter country collaboration on HIV/AIDS issues • Website champion – the ART Secretariat

Why is it important to update our website frequently? • Think back to the who, why, what info discussions held earlier • How do they relate to the frequency and dating of our website's information? • How would information's recentness affect site usage?
Knowing when not to post or comment • Break out into 4 groups again • 5-10 minute discussion • Come back together and present summaries • But don't get discouraged – we want lots of posts and comments!
