  2. MEXICAN INVENTION HELPS FIGHT WATER SHORTAGE • Eco-B: Permeable Concrete that allows for the recharge of aquifers • A group of Mexican scientists have successfully developed Eco-B. Eco-B’s patent consists of a “liquid additive” product, and a “construction system” that allows for the replenishment of underground water tables by taking advantage of rainfall. • Eco-B IS IDEAL FOR EXTENSIVE GROUND COVERAGE projects such as: • Roads, • Highways, • Streets, • Parking lots and Cargo patios, • Sidewalks, • Trails and Outdoorrsporting and recreational facilities. • Eco-B OUTSTANDING CHARACTERISTICS OF PERVIOUS CONCRETE • More durable and resistant than regular concrete, asphalt and more durable than many paving materials. • Permeable • Allows water to flow through, avoiding puddles, hydroplaning and potholes. • It requires less maintenance and repair, • Its higher resistance makes it suitable for automotive traffic and heavier loads.

  3. Eco-B ADVANTAGES • Unlike asphalt which is a contaminating product from the time of its inception and is negatively affected by water filtration, Eco-B uses locally available (granular) materials native to the construction site for its layering preparations as well as for the top or superficial coat. • Eco-B’S USE OF LOCAL MATERIALS HELPS: • Keep jobs under budget, • Avoid modifying or affecting the essence of architectural projects • Eco-B VS COMPETITORS • Compared with other pervious concretes or grass paving methods, we provide: • Significantly superior load bearing capability, • Adequate walking surface, • Does not fill up quickly with garbage, • Does not emit unpleasant odors.

  4. Eco-B’S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY • Eco-B’s patents consist mainly of two contributions to the construction industry: • An additive which is mixed with cement, water and aggregates in order to form a highly resistant pervious concrete, and • Aconstruction systemwhich promotes permeability of the bedding and underlying structures. Eco-B construction system outstanding considerations: • No retention ponds needed (authorized by Texas Government) • Base is filled with stones and aggregate, and leveled with vibration • No sand needed • No rebar needed • Eco-B is our 4th. Generation of pervasive concrete, has been used successfully in Mexico since 1996, and in the U.S. since 1999, under very different climates, regions and environments ranging from the Caribbean seaside to the North American cold and snow. • For more information, please contact us and let us help you prevent water waste, promote aquifer recharge, eliminate standing water and puddles, and promote a “green” construction environment.

  5. Eco-B HR SPECIFICATIONS (Eco-B in USA and Canada) 4ª generation additive for the manufacture of “Organic Permeable Concrete”, with the following features: • 1. Color: light grey. • 2. Texture: liquid • 3. 9.5 liters per cubic meter for a f’c= 250 kg/cm2. • 4. Water Encapsulation to get a mix time in the window of 5 to 90 minutes without loosing its characteristics, by which it can be pre-mixed from the plant. • 5.It can be used to manufacture permeable concrete with aggregates from 1 mm in diameter up to 15 cm in diameter, with all kinds of aggregates. • 6. Resistance to Compression with 330 kg of Cement  210 kg/cm2 (minimum through tests for hydraulic concrete; 250 kg/cm2 (in tests with cores). 3500 psi • 7. Resistance to flexion with 330 kg of cement  60 to 90 kg/cm2. • 8.Drying time after Installed  17 minutes. • 9. Resistance after 24-72 hours  up to 75% 3000 psi
