DLA Distribution Anniston Mission • Provide distribution services for combat weapons systems, small arms weapons and missile systems for all Services. It maintains materiel to support weapons and combat systems including radioactive, hazardous, major end items and secondary repair parts. • DLA Anniston, Alabama also demilitarizes small arms, weapons systems and components at the request of the Services in support of ROTC, honor guards, posts, camp, stations and veteran organizations.

Distribution Standard System • Automated information system that provides visibility of small arms by tracking, reporting, validating and registering the status of each small arm by serial number and custodian. • Annual reconciliation occurs between Army Central Registry and DSS via Bottoms Up Reconciliation • A record overlay is conducted by the Air Force against the DLA Distribution Standard System
