  6. Mentoring WAVE is unique in that we guide young women starting out their media careers with experienced support We stress individuality, analytical thinking, research, creativity, technology and leadership skills We will refer graduates of our program to paid work opportunities.

A Diverse Collective Women aloud Jyotsana lives in a slum and is a teacher in a Gandhian school Moonstar studied ecology at Schumacher College in the UK and now promotes organic farming in Punjab Vinitha is a college student who lives in a shelter for women rescued from human trafficking Leeza is physically challenged but works tirelessly to help children in Bihar Chinju works in the field of ICT, developing free and open source software for the blind

  10. Looking ahead Remodelling our program – WAVE will provide monetary incentives for women to express their views about local concerns through their videos. Regular contributors are highlighted in our program and become part of the inner circle whose production services are marketed by staff. We will focus free equipment and training resources on areas of the country from where we are not getting enough videos so we can live up to our pan-Indian representation. Planning: Research sustainable models and develop our social business. Potential directions: News videos for websites, educational archive, partnering with campaigns for advocacy, grassroots production house, training organization.
