  17. Administration In the most recent audit of administrative costs by the Office of Performance Evaluation, West Ada School had the second lowest administrative costs in Idaho. This year, the district qualifies for 133 administrators and has hired 112.4.

  19. Transportation • The district has contracted its bus services with Cascade Transportation, saving an estimated $15 million over 5 years. • Mid-day kindergarten busing returns after three years. The Mother Ship is being mothballed

Students • 10.2% receive special education services. • 4.5% qualify as gifted and talented. • 5.4% are non-English speakers; in total they speak more than 70 different languages, including Acoli, Kizigua, Mai-mai, Tigrinya, Ewe, Gujarati, Tamil, and Urdu. • 29% qualify for free and reduced lunch (up from a 21% prior to the recession but down from 31% last year).
