Project rationale • Produce 10 case studies of innovative and effective e-learning practice across sectors (HE, FE, ACL, Sixth Form) • Perform a developmental role through close collaboration with e-learning models desk study • Comment on and validate instruments/templates • Four ‘formative case studies’ based on previous experience/existing data (one for each sector) • Application of instruments to six further case studies (via site visits)
Timescale and deliverables • Timescale (2004): • May – June (phase 1, instrument validation & four formative case studies) • July – October (phase 2, six more case studies through site visits) • Key deliverables: • Formative/interim report by end of June • feedback/validation of desk study templates • Four formative case studies • Ten case study reports & final report • Dissemination at practitioner-researcher events
