SWE Day-ahead market coupling Status of Approval of full market coupling (CRE) CRE expects to receive RTE’s formal request to approve day-head capacity allocation through implicit auctions (market coupling) by mid-April • By mid-April, RTE should submit to CRE an approval package covering all methods and requirements related to the implementation of market coupling on FR-ES border: e.g. description of pre and post coupling arrangements in the SWE Region, timings and partial coupling & full decoupling scenarios, fallback solutions, procedures, synthesis of answers to the public consultation, ... • CRE intends to formally approve day-head capacity allocation through implicit auctions (market coupling) by 30 April, allowing for a go-live mid-May. SWE Day-ahead market coupling Status of Approval of full market coupling (Spain) Approval of OPs 3.1 and 4.0 by the Spanish Ministry is expected by the end of April • CNMC carried out a consultation on OPs 3.1 and 4.0 through the Electricity Consultative Council (28th Feb – 11th March). • On 13th March, CNMC approved the report on both OPs and submitted it to the Ministry. • CNMC encouraged the Ministry to approve the OPs as early as possible, in order to facilitate the implementation of full coupling.
