  8. Harry fights Dementor with Muggle present- moral dilemma • Harry is struggling between three moral dilemmas. First, Harry knows that if he uses magic outside of Hogwarts, he will get expelled from Hogwarts. Second, Harry struggles with the hero inside him. The fact that his cousins will die if he doesn’t do something to stop this Dementor from killing him. The last dilemma is that he has a bad history with his cousin and his foster family so he fights to still take that chance.

Harry Makes Dumbledore’s Army-Identity vs. role confusion • Harry at this point in time has been through a lot and in the beginning he is looked down upon by some of the people he knows because people think he is lying about Voldemort and the Goblet of Fire accident with Cedric Diggory. Once the people he knows believe his story he gets changed into this teacher and is looked up at for advice. This also has to deal with identity vs. role confusion because he’s a student at Hogwarts just like everyone else, but he is considered the chosen one and has this “I have to grow up fast” kind of emotion.

Harry Becoming an Auror scene-Social Dilemma and identity vs. role confusion • At this point in time, Harry knows that he couldn’t be an Auror because he didn’t meet the criteria in his last potions class. However, Professor McGonagall gives Harry another chance because Professor Slughorn is now teaching the class and accepts students with exceeds expectations. He also struggles with role identity because he is the chosen one and he doesn’t know if he’ll be alive to live out his life as an Aura.

  14. Academic Dilemma • At this point in time Harry has the Half Blood Princes book with all the answers and much more useful information. So he struggles with the thought that he is basically cheating in that class.
