Data Storage and Backup • Do you have a data backup policy? • How often? • What media? • Do you have sufficient storage capacity?
Training • Training is essential when introducing any new software/ hardware / service. • Continuing education on technology will help ensure staff uses technology to its fullest potential. • Training should be included in your technology budgeting.
Website • Often the first impression of your organization • Is it a useful tool or an online brochure? • What is your website policy? • How often is it updated? • Who is in charge of gathering update information? • How often is it re-evaluated or redesigned? • If possible, utilize local students to help offset the cost of website development
Technology Resources • Include technology upgrades in your annual budget • Take advantage of programs that allow funding of equipment • Explore organizations that offer software for at reduced cost for non-profit organizations • www.techsoup.org
