  4. Como se pode ver no exemplo anterior, o verbo pretend é semelhante na forma ao verbo pretender, do português; no entanto pretend significa “fingir”

  12. deception – (lembra decepção) significa fraude, trapaça decepção - disappointment

  13. O uso de falsos cognatos afeta o significado de um texto, portanto o esclarecimento deste grupo de palavras é importante para a coerência e entendimento de qualquer produção escrita ou oral na língua inglesa.
