Scope • Cavern space is well defined as part of current civil construction preformed by TCCo • Scheduled Beneficial Occupancy date is Aug 08 • Issue For Construction (IFC) set had sufficient spatial and utility capacities to support future hutches • Draft requirements of Room Data Sheets (RDS) have been provided for hutches • Held meeting 12/07 to discuss further hutch program requirements • Data received to date is at early stage of determining final scope to support scientific mission needs • Need to advance quickly

Budget • WBS for FEH Hutches has a TPC of $2.82M • EDI at $.24M • Independent cost estimate • Title I/II design • Construction at $2.58M • Title III • Construction cost estimate as provided by JE,based on Room Data Sheets, Rev 0 include the following: • Escalation (thru July 09), sales tax, below grade factor (difficulty factor), oh&p, bonding, general conditions, hutch doors, 1/8” lead lined walls and ceilings, 1 ton hoist, mechanical and electrical

  12. Schedule • FEH Hutches 4 and 5 • Title I Design (present – end of 6/08) • Title II • Procurement (7/08) • Design (8/08 – 11/08) • Title III • Procurement (11/08 – 12/08) • Construction (1/09 – 7/09) • Construction Complete July 09 • Beneficial Occupancy July 09 • Project Complete Aug 09

  14. Summary • Cavern support space as currently being constructed is well defined • Scheduled date for Beneficial Occupancy Aug 08 is reasonable • Hutch requirements need to be solidified no later than June 30, 08 • Rad Physics requirements play major role • Need liaison between CF and LUSI

Scope in TCCo Contract • Mechanical • Drainage (3 sump pumps inc. access tunnel) and SW piping to sanitary waste system through FEH access tunnel • Outside air capacity for three future hutches • Compressed air (from CUP) south wall (stub outs w/valves) • Process cooling water (PCW) for Hutches and work area- 68°F, 10GPM/ea
