Thank you to everyone for making the ceilidh a great success! Douglas would like to thank everyone who turned up and especially to those who helped him with the chairs and tables for the event. Beeston U3A would like to thank Douglas for all his hard work in organising the evening.

Art History Christmas Trip Art History is running a trip to Northampton on Friday 13th December to visit 78, Derngate, a house designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh. There are a couple of places left before a waiting list is started. The total cost is £17.00 and the coach leaves Beeston at 8.30 returning by 5.00. If anyone is interested please collect a form from Helen Stewart. There will be no Art History meeting in December.

The Writing For Pleasure Group is producing a booklet of its own writing. This will include short stories, poems and travel writing. The booklet will be on sale at the December Open meeting.
Required: singers to join a choir to lead the community singing at our Christmas Open meeting. Volunteers to give names to Alan Windsor or contact him at alanwindsor@ntlworld.com.

Open Meeting Thursday December 5th 2013 This will be a Christmas celebration of Beeston U3A. The festivities will begin with coffee at 10.00 and will include light refreshments. Exhibitions of work carried out by many groups throughout 2013 will be on display. We shall be royally entertained in the church by: BUGS, Performing Arts, Dance, and community singing led by Alan Windsor’s choir. Special Guest: the Mayor of Broxtowe. Don’t miss it!
