AAAS/SSE STEM Volunteer Program - Enhancing STEM Education through Hands-on Support

The AAAS/SSE STEM Volunteer Program, led by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Senior Scientists and Engineers (SSE), aims to foster STEM literacy and motivate students to pursue STEM careers. STEM professionals assist K-12 teachers in the classroom, providing resources, conducting experiments, and relating classroom learning to the outside world. This program has been successfully running since 2004, with volunteers making a significant impact in schools across Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

  8. HEADLINE ON MASTER SLIDE Danielle Bruno, ES teacher I want to take a moment to THANK YOU wholeheartedly for introducing me to George Kralovec. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with him. Everyone is so excited and grateful to have him as part of our team at Bull Run Elementary School. I am forever in your debt.

  9. HEADLINE ON MASTER SLIDE Jay Dailer, MS teacher …placement of Sal Bosco in my science room at Irving Middle School. He was fantastic. I was totally blown out of the water by how he was accepted by my students and the tremendous contributions he made in my room. This was a win-win situation for everybody – me, Sal, and especially my students. If he had to miss a week – they wanted to know where he was.
