YES not very common but does occur still, esp in areas of low SES • Accumulation of edema in fetus during intrauterine growth • Immune hydrops (mother antibodies to fetal RBC) • Non-immune hydrops • With successful prophylaxis of immune problems, most cases are due to non-immune cases ansacara AB to Rh factor, not ABO **used to be the major cause of fetal hydrops… (Rh+ mom)… not anymore
