Confidentiality • Maintain confidentially of all information reviewed at LPAC meeting. • Members sign an Oath of confidentiality at the campus prior to LPAC Meeting.
Purpose of Meeting • Placement • Must occur before the 20th day of school. • September 23th 2013 • Convene every grading period to monitor Y1M and Y2M, review accommodations for each student, and place new students. • Meet in Spring Semester prior to State testing. • STAAR, STAAR L, TELPAS • End of Year LPAC to determine placement for the following year.

Identification of LEP Students • Review Home Language Survey • OLPT • NES, LES, FES • ITBS • 2nd – 12th grade
Qualify for Program Services • Pre K – 1st grade • OLPT score of NES, LES • 2nd – 12th grade • OLPT score of NES, LES, FES • Less than 40% on ITBS in Reading/Language
Services offered to LEP students • Bilingual • Bilingual for Pre K – 5th • ESL • PK – 12th • Monitors • Monitor progress for 2 years after exit • Parent Denials- no services provided but students still considered LEP and will be monitored and will take TELPAS • Monitor progress for 2 years after re-classification
Testing Decisions • Student academic progress • All testing data • Report card grades • Years in US Schools • Prior Testing –STAAR, STAAR L, TELPAS
