What’s So Great About Darwin? • 30 years after starting his voyage Darwin published “The Origin of Species” • In his book Darwin argued that modern organisms had evolved from previously existing organisms • Darwin also believed that everything came from a common ancestor and called this principle common descent • Darwin believed that this process came from organisms adapting to their environments
