  2. Before the War… • Canada’s army in 1914 was 3000 men • Jumped to 30,000 within months • Would grow to over 500,000 by the end of the war

  3. 1914 • When war started, the dragoons were training in Vernon • They were loaded up to leave by mid 1915

  4. 1915, in England • More time spent training!

  5. In France… • They finally get to France in time for Ypres (Fall 1915) • They fight at the Somme • They fight at Vimy • They fight at Passchendaele
