Program Findings • Incentives are a key to program success • In 2000 dropped clothes washer rebates by 60% ($175 - $75) • Rebates processed dropped by a third from 1999 • In 2001 increased rebates ($75 - $125) • Participation rate is back to 1999 levels Conservation or Crisis?
