Cumberland Pkwy EB 33 Fatal Crash Friday August 2nd, Fell Asleep • Metcalfe/Adair County Line • Unit 1 Vehicle VS Unit 2 CMV Fatal Crash • 3 hr closure • Unit 1 fell asleep, dropped off left side of road, overcorrected • Traveled across westbound lanes, hit oncoming Ryder Freightliner Truck • Driver of Unit 1 was killed

Cumberland Pkwy Metcalfe Co EB MP 34 Mon Sept 9th • Single Vehicle Crash involved a 160k lb Crane Truck, lost control • Roadway was damaged • 3 hrs to extricate due to unstable vehicle • Crane arrived from BG • Low boy arrived from Louisville • Road closed EB for 10 hrs • Detour thru Edmonton to Columbia

  26. I-65 Construction Updates • Widening of I 65 to 3 lanes from Cave City to Hart County line is complete with corrective/finishing work beginning • From Hart County line to rest area - the northbound traffic will be moved from the outside lanes and will by split by a barrier wall

Outer Loop/Cumberland PkwyInterchange Updates • Work will be continuing into early 2014 with the temporary parkway crossing (for construction vehicles) continuing until the bridge over the parkway is complete this winter. • The twin bridges (which overpass KY 1297) will be switching traffic from inside lane to outside lane in both directions this fall and with a wide load restriction implemented
