Student Data Websites TVs/Announcements • Watch the daily announcements: • 13% say never • 49% say sometimes • 38% say always • Find the tech in the building excessive. • TVs are not helpful since they are not allowed in hallways • 94% want a teacher website to have homework, class work, and calendar for accessing learning outside of school • Found that there was much discrepancy about what teachers have available to students.

Summary • Technology is a part of daily life for all of us • Students are in a digital world • NCLB requires a report of our tech skills • What are we doing to ensure that we are meeting their needs? • Are our lessons reaching them? How do we know? • Is there a tech tool that can help? • Are we teaching them how to learn and get the information they need? • Are we teaching them to contribute to the knowledge base? • Are we teaching them to be safe and ethical?

The Tech Team Mission: Work to identify what tools are best for what impact and build resources and capacity for our staff to understand how to choose the best tools for the learners in their classroom. We will directly support the school plan. We believe technology is a solution and a resource that we can use to positively impact student achievement.
