  2. DELIGATE ANTICIPATE COMMUNICATE

  3. KNOTS • Use only two knots – bowline and Rich Miller knot. • All knots on cable. • No single lines, airmen’s hitches, trucker’s hitches. • All tie down points get a backup. • Except single line for tail, half hitch for keeper.

COMMUNICATIONS LAUNCHING Traffic --To power aircraft: “Power aircraft on downwind, Byron Glider Ground, can you extend downwind for glider launch?” Start engine Take runway: “Byron traffic, Byron Glider Ground, glider taking runway three zero for tow plane hookup. Take off: radio call from glider.

  10. COMMUNICATIONS LANDING To glider: “Glider 81C, Byron glider ground, advise second turn off” To tow plane: “Tow Plane 16 Yankee, Byron glider ground, glider ready to launch, hold on runway, traffic permitting.”
